Coupon Tips That Are Guaranteed To Help You Save Money

There isn’t anybody that can deny the savings from serious couponers. With the right advice you will see that you do not have to spend a ton of time with coupons. Implement the following tips, and it will not be long before you, too, can save lots of money each time you go to the store.

Ask friends, neighbors and relatives to save their coupon circulars and newspaper inserts for you. Many people throw coupons away or recycle them with the rest of the paper, not realizing how much they could save by using them. This is a great, free way to acquire extra coupons for the items you use most.

A great tip when using coupons is to keep track of the expiration date. You don’t want to walk into a store, pick up an item and then present the cashier with a coupon that’s expired. Some stores might still honor the deal but most won’t, and you’ll be embarrassed.

Set aside one day each week to exclusively search for coupons. You’ll be able to work with coupons more efficiently this way. There’s nothing stopping you from clipping a coupon right when it catches your eye, but making a concentrated effort once a week to pore over newspapers and websites will allow you to plan out plenty of great discount shopping trips for the coming week.

Put your scissors down! Instead of spending time clipping coupons that you may or may not ever use, just keep the whole circular. Organize them in a file chronologically. There are many blogs and databases online that will match up coupons with in-store sales and refer you to the dated insert with the corresponding coupon. When you find a deal you want, just look up the inserts and clip only the coupons you’ll need.

Those consumers who use coupons stand to save some serious money over time. The key is to gain a thorough grasp of the right ways to apply coupons in order to save the most money. Use these pointers, and you will be using coupons like a seasoned veteran in no time at all.

How do I get free stuff online?

We all know a person that knows a person that wins all kinds of stuff from the internet. They are always cashing in some weird coupon or having a case of ketchup show up at the house. How do they do it?

Contests and samples.

This site will post different contests to enter and ideas on how to organize all this stuff so you don’t end up super spammed.

The contests we are talking about are really called sweepstakes.

Wikipedia says:

Sweepstakes are a form of contest where a prize or prizes may be awarded to a winner or winners. Sweepstakes began as a form of lottery that were tied to products sold. In response, the FCC and FTC refined U.S. broadcasting laws (creating the anti-lottery laws). Under these laws sweepstakes became strictly “No Purchase Necessary”, removing the consideration (one of the three legally required elements of gambling) to stop abuse of sweepstakes. Today, sweepstakes in the USA are used as marketing promotions to reward existing consumers, and to draw attention to a product.

What this basically means is that companies hold free drawings where they give product away and they do this as a form of advertisement. A win for both parties!

So get ready to fill out some forms and enter some sweepstakes.

I recommend some form of organization. A google sheet spreadsheet would probably be good to keep track of what you entered when, when the draw dates are etc. Then you won’t waste time trying to enter contests you already entered (and possibly disqualifying yourself for entering twice!). I will create a nice version of my own spread sheet and post it online soon.

If you want to play this game at the scale you need to in order to attain a reasonable amount of stuff requires some planning and organization and maybe just a touch of automation.

Stay tuned, these are the topics in coming posts!
